Jan 30, 2004, Ashcroft to Aspen via the Goodwin-Green and Barnard huts and the most spectacular winter ridge crossing in Colorado.

Frigid morning, breathless models,

A day of snow passes with us at rest,
a blustery crossing follows as test.

Our secluded home for just one night,
its wooden face basks in south light.
